Lillian "Ray" Glenn, age 94, of Selma, Alabama, passed away on March 7, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent's Blount in Oneonta, Alabama. She was born on August 10, 1929.
Lillian, known to many as Ray, was a Data Processor at WP Ballard in Birmingham, Alabama and later worked at Community Bank in Blountsville, Alabama. She was a dedicated professional known for her meticulous work ethic and attention to detail.
She graduated from Woodlawn High School and was an active member of Shiloh Methodist Church, where she found comfort and community.
In her free time, Lillian enjoyed watching Alabama Crimson Tide Football, quilting, fabric work, sticker-by-number projects, watching Westerns, and staying up-to-date on current events.
Lillian is survived by her best friend and great-niece-in-law, Celina Smith, along with her great-nephew, Jacky Smith; nephew Doug Smith; nephew Harold Smith; niece Susan Sparks (Michael); great-nephews Eric Sparks (Lacy) and Kevin Sparks (Katlyn) and great-great-nieces and nephews; Opal, Irwin, Bentley, Wyatt, Kendra.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gevon Glenn, her parents Wesley and Herschel Haynes, her sister Mary Fay Smith, and her niece Marion Campbell.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by Serenity Chapel Funeral Home in Birmingham, AL.
