Apostle Bernetta L. Sanders-Peake was born May 4, 1970, to Dr. Willie Sanders, Sr. and Mother Barbara Coleman McKithen in Birmingham, Alabama.

She was the one of nine children and was educated in the Birmingham City School System. She graduated from Phillips High School in May 1988.  Apostle Peake received her Bachelor of Art in Interior Design from Virginia College in Birmingham on September 11, 2015.

In 1979, she became a member of Purity Holiness Church of God, North Birmingham where she worshipped until the age of 18.  She later joined St. Luke AME Church under the leadership of Rev. In 2000, she received her calling into the ministry and was licensed on all biblical, theological and Methodist teaching.  In 2003, she organized several ministries, such as a couple’s ministry, a prison ministry and a women ministry.  In 2004, she became the Co-Pastor of Faith of Faith Christian Ministry, being licensed and ordained under Bishop Bruce Carpenter. Shortly following, God assigned her a new position as the apostle and pastor of Holy Temple Christian Ministry which was later renamed to Anointed by God Christian Ministry.  She remained the Apostle until her death.
