Davon Sinclair Harrell

Davon Sinclair Harrell was born on February 20, 1991 in Los Angeles, California; to Yvonne Hill. He came into the world with quite an extended family. In 1993, Davon (age 2) and his brother James Turner (age 3) was raised by Linda Dwight and her daughter, Druscilla along with three adopted brothers. The Dwight family attended the Compton Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Compton, California. At the church, Davon was involved in many activities. Such as, Sabbath School, children's choir, Pathfinders and the Compton Community Youth Club (CCYC). Due to Linda Dwight's untimely death in 2000, having such a strong tie to the Compton Community Church, members Leslie Williams View and Deforest Reed Jr. extended their homes and became parents to Davon and James. Davon attended Caldwell Elementary, Enterprise Middle, and Compton High School in Compton, California. Davon was very athletic and excelled in all sports. Football at Compton High School, Track & Field, as well as and Basketball at L.A. Adventist Academy where he graduated in 2009. In May 2008, Davon participated in the Los Angeles Marathon, where he completed the 26.2 mile run in four hours. Finishing in the top five percentile for his age category. After high school, Davon went on to attend Oakwood University, A Seventh-Day Adventist HBCU in Huntsville, Alabama. 

Davon Sinclair Harrell is survived by his mothers, Yvonne Hill and Leslie Williams View; Father, Deforest Reed Jr. Siblings, Dishunta Malloy, Ronnie Davis, Ricky Hill-Henderson, James Turner, Cherise Jackson, Denise Hill, Regina Watson, Robin Warfield (Melvin), Wendi Williams, Carrie Jones (Troy), Druscilla Armstrong-Gaye (Glenn), Doron Zack Dwight, Dorian Jacque Dwight, David Dwight, as well as a host of cousins, and extended family and friends.
