Elizabeth (Jones) Seay

Elizabeth Mae Seay born on May 9, 1930, she was the eldest of five children born to Jimmy and 
Inez Jones.  She was preceded in death by siblings Walter Melvin Jones, James Wallace Jones, 
and Kathy Quinney.  She confessed Christ at an early age at 46th Street Baptist Church under the 
leadership of Rev. Brown.  She worked diligently on the User Board and the Kitchen Committee.   
 
She was educated in the Birmingham School System.  She married Frank Seay, Sr. on June 2, 
1947, and to this union eight children was born.  She was preceded in death by her husband, 
Frank Seay, her eldest daughter, Emma Moore and three sons-in-law’s (Dwayne Grey, Robert 
Moore, and Doug Reed).  She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother who will be greatly 
missed. 
 
She leaves so many loving and precious memories to be cherished by her children.  Frank Seay, 
Jr. (Denessia) of Warrior, AL, Kathryn Davis (Willie) of Sacramento, CA, Regenia Neal (Marvin) of 
Birmingham, AL, Sandra Ford (Alford) of Birmingham, AL, Connie Reed of Riverdale, GA, 
Reginald (Latanya) and Patricia Grey, both of Birmingham, AL.  One sister Margaret Davidson 
and one sister-in-law, Beulah Gay.  Special great granddaughter, Shamiya Nicole Seay and two 
God daughters, Veronica Grey and Wilma Penick.  Thirteen grandchildren, 22 great 
grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and 
friends.  A special friend, Mrs. Mabel Felder of Detroit, MI.
