Josephine Morgan was born to the late David and Eddie Mae Conwell on July 8, 1944, in Centreville, Alabama. She transitioned from this life Saturday, June 17, 2023.
Josephine accepted Christ at an early age at Good Hope Baptist Church.She later became a member of Grant Chapel A.M.E Church under the leadership of Reverend A. L. Lamar. Prior to her transition, she served under the leadership of Reverend T. E. Nathan where she was a faithful member for many years. Josephine was educated in the Bibb County School System.
She married her soulmate and companion, Marva Lee Morgan, Sr. This union was blessed with four beautiful children. Together, they shared blissful memories which were created over 60 years. Josephine Morgan was adored for her devotion and dedication to her family. She always had a caring heart, and her presence was known everywhere she went. She was admired and well known in her community. Her thoughtfulness and caring spirit will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Eddie Mae Conwell; her husband, Marva Lee Morgan, Sr.; her brothers, David Conwell, Jr., Johnny Conwell and Thomas Conwell; her sisters, Daisy Riley and Vera Tyner. Her legacy will be cherished and lived on by her loving children, Bernice (Ronald) Bimbo, Marv (Cheryl) Morgan, Kenneth (Sharron) Morgan and Sharon Morgan; grandchildren, Damien Franklyn, Courtney (Shymikka) Bimbo, Marcus (Brandi) Morgan, JaNetria "Muffin" Morgan, Andray Bimbo, Sherita (Tony) Ward and Alexandria "Lil Mama" Morgan; 17 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; her siblings, Sarah Bell Lardell, Melvin Conwell and Reverend Otis Charles Conwell; a special niece, Elizabeth Bell and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
