Moemedi Joshua Ookeditse, 20, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed on from this earthly life Thursday, April 1, 2021. He was born July 29, 2000, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Milton and Alice Ookeditse.
Joshua was a resident of Birmingham, Alabama, where he lived since leaving his childhood home in Hoover, Alabama. He attended John Carroll High School until his sophomore year where he was inducted into Mu Alpha Theta. He then transferred to Huffman High School where he graduated in 2018. After graduating from Huffman, he attended the University of Alabama, where he worked towards a degree in Business Administration.
Preceding him in death is his mother, Alice Ookeditse, a special aunt ,whom was affectionately known as Grandma, Mrs. Hazel Woods.
Among those left to celebrate his life are his mother and father, Alice Faye Steele and Bernard Steele of Roebuck, AL., sisters and brothers Taboka Nicole Ookeditse of Birmingham, AL., Mosupi Julius, Kitso Leshomo, Gorata Leshomo, (twins)Tapiwa Ookeditse, Tawa Ookeditse of Botswana, Africa, uncles Lawrence Anthony Parker, Jr (Patricia) of Roebuck, AL . and Reggie Ardale Parker, Sr. (Leslie) of Sterrett, AL., and a host of cousins.
